Risk assessments

LEEPS Ltd delivers these aims through short, cost effective interventions based on the latest behavioural and technical thinking. The resources are drawn from a pool of technical, safety and behavioural experts, working on an associate basis, who always recognise the primary business objective.


Supplementary Isolation Procedure Training

LEEPS Ltd has conducted SIPS training for a number of safety critical roles including COSS OLP, ECO, NP and APs.

eLSR Frontline Workshop

Typically a half day facilitated session which improves the effective application of the rules by safety critical staff.

eLSR Leadership Support

A bespoke offering tailored to the company needs often centering on implementation strategy and realising the benefits without a performance or financial penalty.

eLSR Promotional

Working closely with companies to produce promotional electrical safety multi-media materials, policies and guidelines.


Team and Individual coaching skills delivery through the theme of electrical safety. Employs the ILM coaching methods and models.


SCADA and Control Operator/Engineer training for both railways and High Voltage systems. 

Risk Assessment

Workshops covering the legal requirements for effective risk assessment tailored to support designers of electrical infrastructure and those responsible for either planning or executing electrical safe systems of work.

Electrical Safety Strategy 

Supporting and working with companies to assess the effectiveness and make improvements to electrical safety. We also work with an industry leading graphical visualisation designer to demonstrate high voltage electrical safety concepts.

Measured surveys

A wide range of measured surveys in 2D & 3D. Topographic, measured building and 3D BIM surveys. OSGB36 grids using GPS. Point clouds from laser scanning and/or photogrammetry.

Aerial surveys

Aerial drone survey division for visual inspections and measured surveys. Photogrammetry and LiDAR techniques. Fully licensed operatives with permission to fly from the CAA (PfCO).

Virtual Tours

Coming soon - interior 360 photography combined to form a virtual tour of Railway Infastructure - To be used for advanced training and to limit site visits.

Meet the team

Rob Sherrin

Principal consultant

Rob has 25 years experience of the electricity supply industry and railway electrification. With experience as a senior authorised person, control engineer and incident manager he has an excellent understanding of infrastructure, safety principles, behaviours and culture. As an experienced capital projects programme manager and network operations manager his safety experience comes with a practical understanding of the risks and hazards associated with the electrification systems. He holds various training and business coaching qualifications.

Ian Hammond

Senior consultant

Ian is a career railwayman with extensive experience across electrification and operations. He is an industry recognised expert on electrical control and isolation planning and has most recently been designing and delivering related training courses. As an experienced Electrical Control Manager he has contributed to the shaping of railway electrification safety rules and isolation planning process design. Ian holds various training qualifications and has extensive experience of niche electrification training courses.

Jamie Duffy

Senior consultant

Jamie has over 14 years experience in rail construction – starting on the tools and progressing to the role of senior construction manager. He is a member of the Institute of Occupational Safety (IOSH) and a qualified City and Guilds Trainer. He has practical experience of managing and delivering rail construction projects and an in depth understanding of the safety culture necessary to safely deliver works within the rail environment. He has held COSS OLP, machine controller, cable train management and several other key railway competences. Jamie has practical experience of mentoring the workforce to enable an improved working environment embedded in safety culture.

Elena Provvedi

Project Management consultant

Elena has extensive experience in project management predominately within the rail electrification sector. She also has diverse knowledge in managing shared services and leading core activities, such as Human Resources, IT, Marketing, HSQE and Asset Management. Her experience of working with multiple senior executives

has provided Elena with excellent organisational skills, which has developed her ability to manage complex projects, resources and stakeholder’s expectations. She is a highly effective communicator and passionate about helping others through behavioural change programmes. She is certified in counselling and psychodynamic interpersonal skills, a mental health first aider and a member of the Association of Project Managers.

Richard Varian

Senior Consultant

Richard started his career with British Rail over 40 years ago and is a highly experienced and accomplished railway electrification and operations professional. He is an industry recognised expert in DC electrical safety processes including isolations and control functions and well respected amongst his peers.

Richard has provided SCADA training for Electrical Control Operators and Managers. Most recently, he has responsibility for delivering TPCMS training, which is the new supervisory system being introduced to all Network Rail Electrical Control Rooms. He is a dedicated, calm and reliable individual with a life-long career focused on service delivery, effective process management and technical training. Richard holds training qualifications and has extensive experience of niche electrification training courses.

Fiona Sherrin

Commercial Manager

Fiona has a background in financial administration and teaching and ensures her highly organised and meticulous approach makes her a trusted point of contact. She supports the development of the business as well as using her commercial experience in maintaining the business competitive and a cost-efficient working practice.

Her financial and operational experience has enabled Fiona to focus upon a wide range of daily business activities. She is passionate about quality and processes and developing collaborative and sustainable supply chain partners, with the goal of securing customer loyalty. Fiona is a qualified teacher and holds a trainer/assessor and mental health first aid certifications.

Warren Peters

Technical Consultant

Warren has extensive experience in the measured survey industry for a wide range of clients. Within the measured survey profession he has gained a diverse knowledge in a wide range of survey techniques, project management and CAD software. He also has a wide range of knowledge in the IT and photography industries.

Warren is an experienced drone (UAV) pilot with permission to fly from the CAA for commercial projects (PfCO). He is an advanced user of 3d laser scanners, total stations and GPS receivers. Warren holds qualifications in Civil Engineering, Revit (BIM level 2) and Autocad. He is passionate about the use of technology in the surveying and the railway industry, in particular the use of drones to gather data quickly and safely.
